Yesterday was awesome! We had a great day. Kathy Eubanks delivered valuable John Maxwell information. The participants were hungry for information and got involved in the process. We had persons from Montego Bay, Mandeville, Ocho Rios, and ofcourse Kingston. Watch out for another event end of October, early November.

Leadership Matters quarterly forum

We are excitedly planning our first leadership matters quarterly forum. Andre Thomas, our John Maxwell Partner and Associate will be our guest speaker in July 2008. Watch for the exact dates. We are currently booking hotel and planning our marketing strategy. All very exciting. The topic will be 5 levels of leadership. Our website is still work in progress. As part of my Doctorial programme we have 1 residency per year. I just returned from the first one on July 18, 2007.I will always remember the experience of Residency 2007. Like the weather, I went through many changes which I believe will transform my life for ever. Excited, Exhilerated, Disappointed, Hopeful, Exhausted.Residency stretched me emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, physically, mentally, psychologically. I know at the end of the day I am better off for it. It was worth it.

University of Phoenix -JAGeddes

Yesterday was the last day of a 8 week leadership course.

What a vast amount of knowledge on leadership. In the last week I prepared a leadership plan for my own development. I will ask some of you to hold me accountable. I have completed a 360 degree and identified some opportunities for improvement.

The next course in a 1 week residency in Arlington,Virginia in July. I look forward to meeting some of my colleagues on the course.

We use the Internet to interact with the lecturer and other students. This way of working is new, innovative and I believe extremely effective. All discussions are captured in writing. We are able to log in at anytime and view past threads of discussions. A really exciting way of learning. We never miss a lecture, we never miss a discussion. It is always there and we can choose to access it when we want.

I believe that this is the way of the future and we need to stand up and pay attention.
