What a weekend. The board of Centre for Leadership Wisdom had our first board retreat at Gran Bahia Principe in Discovery Bay. What a splendid time we had. We spent time Planning, Praying and Growing. The coaching sessions with Bishop Thomas were excellent as usual. We started with the Andre Thomas mentoring system -7 most important things in life. 

1. Fellowship and Partnership with God
2. Definition and pursuit of life’s mission
3. Understanding the power of blessings
4. The type of seed you sow
5. The quality of your relationships
6. Understanding the value of Money
7. Leaving a legacy

The holy spirit even gave us a retreat song. The prayer time was powerful and the Lord gave the team a prophetic word. What a retreat?

Things are surely getting busy around here. The Gleaner today featured an article by Mark Dawes featuring Bishop Andre Thomas, Chairman of Centre for Leadership wisdom. We have now formed a committee and executive team and a meeting for a planning retreat for this weekend.

Save our men

The “Save our men” project gained significant momentum during Bishop’s visit. We now have our Vision, Mission, and Organization structure and have identified an Executive President and a fundraiser. God is so good. This project is poised to radically change the mindset of our men and deprogram the dysfuntionality left back from slavery.

 

 

 

Bishop Andre Thomas

Bishop Andre Thomas is the Caribbean coordinator for the Dr. John Maxwell EQUIP program.

What a great man of God. God used him mightily to set the captives free, heal the sick, and break the bondages from off our people. He presented leadership wisdom in the form of the John Maxwell Equip program as well as 1 to 1 session. Both were well received. He humbly did what God asked him to do and we were all blessed by it. He returns in July and October, 2008. Watch for exact dates.

“SAVE OUR MEN”

 On Friday, January 18, 2008 the Jamaica Gleaner headline rang out “Save our men”

“Rev. Bolt argued that boys were short of role models and called on the older men in the society to mentor them”

The “Save our men” initiative was born out of this cry.

Using the John Maxwell EQUIP mentorship programme we aim to reach 100,000 Jamaican men by 2010. Using the principle of multiplication, if we start with 80 men and each man mentors 12 using the 6 month EQUIP programme we will reach our target by 2010. We need you prayers please.
